The Pediatric Allergy and Dermatology Centre located in Vancouver, British Columbia is a blending of Specialists with expertise in pediatric allergy and dermatology. This group practice is unique in North America and provides clinical patient care as well as student teaching.

Course Overview
“Pediatric Allergy and Dermatology for the Practitioner” is a unique course that provides a blend of education on allergies and skin disorders that targets a diverse spectrum of practitioners including family practitioners, pediatricians, allergists, and dermatologists. This course will provide succinct evidence based updates on relevant allergic and dermatologic problems that children experience. Our teaching faculty consists of both local and national renowned experts in the fields of pediatric dermatology and allergy. We strive to make this a useful educational opportunity while still providing the participants with the opportunity to enjoy Whistler’s amenities.

Accreditation Information

The University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine, Division of Continuing Professional Development & Knowledge Translation is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS) and by reciprocity through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) of the United States to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The UBC Division of Continuing Professional Development & Knowledge Translation designates this educational program as meeting the accreditation criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 11.25 MAINPRO M1 credits. This program is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. This program has been reviewed and approved by UBC Division of Continuing Professional Development & Knowledge Translation. This program also meets the accreditation criteria for a maximum of 11.25 Category 1 credits toward the American Medical Association Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits he/she actually spent in the activity.

Members of the American Academy of Family Physicians are eligible to receive 11.25 Prescribed credits for participation in this activity due to reciprocal agreement with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
